Here is a link from the Boston Globe detailing ways the U.S. government could alternatively spend the amount of funds that has gone to the Iraq war.

I think I would take Forbes.com’s example and outfit 4,073,333,333 people in custom-made leather underpants. That way, nearly 2/3 of the Earth’s population would be just a little more rock ‘n’ roll.

  1. My problem with the question is that it is disingenuous. I mean we probably would not have all that money to spend on other things if we did not invade Iraq etc. It almost trivializes the matter. By no means do I think we could use some more rock and roll. I just think it doesn’t allow for an honest debate of financial resources for war, security, and other things.
